01About RIPA Transport
RIPA Transport (ABN 15 212 802 833) is an Australian vehicle transport brokerage business operating nationally.
We are based in Victoria, Australia and operate nationally, connecting clients with vehicle transport carriers across Australia.
02Our Role as a Broker
RIPA Transport acts solely as a booking intermediary — a broker — between clients and independent vehicle transport carriers. We are not a transport carrier and we do not physically transport vehicles.
Important: The contract of carriage for your vehicle is made directly between you (the client) and the carrier. RIPA Transport facilitates the booking but is not a party to the transport contract itself.
Our service includes:
- Collecting your vehicle transport requirements
- Sourcing availability and pricing from our carrier network
- Presenting you with a quote on behalf of the carrier
- Coordinating the booking confirmation between you and the carrier
- Acting as your point of contact throughout the process
03Quotes and Pricing
All quotes provided by RIPA Transport are based on information supplied by the client and are subject to carrier availability and confirmation at the time of booking.
- Quotes are indicative and valid for 7 days from the date issued unless otherwise stated
- Final pricing is confirmed upon carrier acceptance of the booking
- Pricing may vary if the vehicle details or transport requirements provided are inaccurate or incomplete
- RIPA Transport's brokerage fee is included in the quoted price — there are no additional hidden fees from RIPA Transport
- Carrier surcharges (e.g. for oversized vehicles, remote locations or urgent transport) will be disclosed before booking confirmation
04Bookings and Confirmation
A booking is not confirmed until you have received written confirmation from RIPA Transport that the carrier has accepted the job.
- Submitting a quote request does not constitute a confirmed booking
- Accepting a quote does not guarantee carrier availability until confirmed in writing
- Once confirmed, pickup dates and times are subject to the carrier's operational schedule
- RIPA Transport will keep you informed of any changes to confirmed bookings as soon as they are known
05Cancellations and Changes
If you need to cancel or change a confirmed booking, please contact RIPA Transport as soon as possible.
- Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the confirmed pickup date — no cancellation fee from RIPA Transport. Carrier cancellation fees may apply.
- Cancellations made within 48 hours of the confirmed pickup date — a cancellation fee may apply depending on the carrier's terms
- Changes to vehicle details, pickup or dropoff locations after booking confirmation may result in a revised quote
- RIPA Transport will not be liable for any costs arising from changes or cancellations initiated by the carrier
06Vehicle Condition and Information
It is the client's responsibility to provide accurate and complete information about the vehicle being transported. This includes:
- Vehicle make, model, year and dimensions
- Whether the vehicle is registered
- Whether the vehicle is driveable and in running condition
- Whether the vehicle is lowered, modified or has non-standard dimensions
- Any existing damage to the vehicle prior to transport
Pre-transport inspection: We strongly recommend clients complete a vehicle condition report with photographic evidence before handover to the carrier.
07Liability and Insurance
As a booking broker, RIPA Transport's liability is strictly limited to the booking facilitation service we provide.
- RIPA Transport is not liable for any loss, damage, delay or misdelivery of vehicles during transport
- Liability for the vehicle during transport rests with the carrier under their own insurance and terms of carriage
- Clients are encouraged to confirm the carrier's insurance coverage before the booking is confirmed
- RIPA Transport is not liable for any consequential, indirect or economic losses arising from transport delays or vehicle damage
- In the event of a claim, RIPA Transport will assist the client in liaising with the carrier but is not responsible for the outcome of any claim
Insurance note: Your comprehensive car insurance policy may not cover your vehicle during transport. We recommend confirming coverage with your insurer prior to shipment.
08Payment
- Payment terms will be confirmed at the time of booking and may vary depending on the carrier and job requirements
- Payment may be required in full or in part prior to pickup, depending on the booking
- Accepted payment methods will be confirmed with each booking
- All prices are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of GST where applicable
09Privacy
RIPA Transport is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988.
- Personal information collected is used solely for the purpose of facilitating your vehicle transport booking
- Your details will be shared with the relevant carrier only to the extent necessary to complete your booking
- We will not sell, rent or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes
- You may request access to or correction of your personal information at any time by contacting us via our website
10Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of RIPA Transport's services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
RIPA Transport reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
